The Baden Powell Award can be obtained through either of 2 Methods: A or B. The Service Badge is one of four badges that must be obtained through Method A. All are designed to encourage participation in a wide range of activities.

Method A sets out objectives for the participant and requires them, to set goals and attain these goals to receive the Award. In choosing this method, the participant must obtain the Service Badge, Project Badge, Scoutcraft Badge and the Rambler's Badge. How is it worn? The four badges form a diamond on the right sleeve, below the Rover Skills Badge. This badge should be situated at the top of the Award diamond.
